Are you thinking of traveling with your pet abroad?
Don’t worry, we take care of everything.
These are some tips from Boardingpet for you and your pet to have the best experience during the journey process to the destination of your choice.

First of all, you must be aware of all the requirements to be able to travel. Some destinations ask for more requirements than others, it is not the same to travel to Spain than to Dubai. For this reason, as soon as they come to us, you must have a defined destination so that we can advise them accordingly. Everything that the destination country requires for the entry of your pet is done by us: From vaccination certificates, microchips, health certificates, deworming certificates, serologies, import permits, SENASA International Veterinary Certificate (CVI), and much more.
From Boardingpet we seek to ease the whole process. Therefore, once you contact us, the first thing you should do is make an appointment with one of our veterinarians for a medical check-up and thus start the process. If your pet has a pre-existing disease, remember to bring us all the studies for us to evaluate. In case you need us to carry out the studies, one of our specialist veterinarians will gladly do it.
If your best friend is going to travel in a kennel or carrier, either in the cabin or hold, the adaptation is important so that during the flight they are as comfortable as possible. You must get them used to it with a lot of patience, a good way is to locate a toy or their favorite treat inside the cage so that they enter on their own. Do not try to enter them by force, that will only provoke fear and distrust. Once inside the cage, try to leave them alone for at least 15 minutes and control them again. This way your pet will know that it is temporary confinement. We have our coach, Pablo, who will make sure that your pet arrives super prepared the day of traveling by plane.
On the day of travel, it is recommended to restrict the intake of food for 8 hours and 2 hours for water before boarding as the movement of the flight can cause discomfort and increase the chances of your pet urinating or defecating. Another recommendation is to arrive early at the airport to avoid stressful situations. A pre-flight exercise is a good idea to tire them out a little and make your travel calmer.
Once at the airport, the first thing you should do is go to the SENASA office and present all the documentation that we have previously given you.
Then go to check-in, along with the airline’s confirmation of your pet’s quota and all the certificates requested, this is all given to you in your travel folder.
Once you arrive at your destination, take your pet for a long walk, so they can stretch their paws, relieve themselves and forget the tension of the trip. Last but most importantly, enjoy the beautiful experience which is traveling with your 4-legged best friend.

Remember that at Boardingpet we facilitate the process that involves all the necessary procedures to travel comfortably with your pet. In addition, thanks to our agreement with the Sheraton Retiro Hotel and the Howard Johnson Ezeiza, you and your pet can, from the day before your flight, start enjoying the trip to the fullest. Enjoying an EXCLUSIVE benefit for being our customers.
